STYLE INTELLIGENCEI strongly believe that the strength of great personal style begins with knowing your Style Personality. I spend a significant amount of time identifying and educating my clients on how to create consistency in their shopping habits and personal brand identity. Everything from texture, silhouette, and color are nonverbal visual cues into your style identity. Each week in February, I'll dedicate a post to each Style Personality's defining characteristics and aesthetics. Most women can see elements of them self in each Style and think in terms of occasion. A Style Personality is defined by the dominant emotion attached to how you want to feel and be perceived every time you get dressed. It determines your purchases, your brands, and the general curation of your wardrobe. Let's start this series with the most popular style expression: Classic. The Classic Woman is all about feeling put-together and sophisticated. She's not a fan of fussy or busy details and has a preference for clean lines. Trying bright hues that are outside of primary colors can be a challenge for this Style Personality. Additionally, mixed prints of more than one shape in a design or more than 3 colors in a print are not really the Classic Woman's thing. This is the most popular Style Personality. How to Know you are a Classic Woman - Your wardrobe is timeless. You will look current in a 10 year old suit. - Black is the dominant color in your closet. - You're all about matching; shoes to belt to bag; Never to mix metals of gold and silver! - You prefer boot-cut pant lengths over crop or a skinny leg. -You have a relationship with your tailor. - You're go-to brands are: Theory, Hugo Boss, Black Halo, Elie Tahari Are you a Classic Woman?
